Place ToastProvider and ToastViewport around controlled Toast instances with a title or description.
Use durable for a message that should not time out and provide a close action; use ToastAction for a relevant optional follow-up.
API
Compose the exported parts below. The prop types are read from the React source during the registry build.
Native element or underlying primitive props are inherited where declared, including accessible labels, event handlers and refs.
ToastProviderProps
Accepts the native or primitive props declared by its exported TypeScript type.
ToastViewportProps
Accepts the native or primitive props declared by its exported TypeScript type.
ToastProps
| Prop | Type | Required |
|---|---|---|
variant | "default" | "danger" | "cream" | null | undefined | No |
durable | boolean | No |
ToastTitleProps
Accepts the native or primitive props declared by its exported TypeScript type.
ToastDescriptionProps
Accepts the native or primitive props declared by its exported TypeScript type.
ToastActionProps
Accepts the native or primitive props declared by its exported TypeScript type.
ToastCloseProps
Accepts the native or primitive props declared by its exported TypeScript type.
Accessibility
Provide ToastAction altText that explains the action’s purpose and keep a reachable dismissal control.
Keep critical instructions available outside a timed toast when users need time to act on them.
States and appearance
For conditional content, keep a MotionPresence boundary around keyed MotionSurface children. The shared entrance and exit states work with native primitives and respect your motion preference.
Try pointer and keyboard interaction, and switch the appearance control in the navigation to compare light and dark mode. Motion respects reduced motion preferences.
